My uncle who I suppose could have been called an oil executive, was an avid reader of Private Eye magazine. He said it kept him informed. It did seem ahead of the mainstream media. They were on Robert Maxwell‘s case long before anybody else. He said he would sue them.

They had then plastered him all over their front cover, saying,

“I’LL SUE!”
