Sorry it has all got a bit technical for me It absolutely does not surprise me that dad was building a short wave radio.
I didn’t find something from 1947 but I did find this frum the 1970s.
I used to love listening to short wave too. Radio Moscow and Radio Tirana were great fun, 😂
