The recent spate of online games has really brought the toxic people out of the woodwork. Those willing to gamble on such games are as bad, if not worse. Avoid them like the plague.
If you observe then you can see them suffer the consequences of their actions.
There have always been toxic people. Even in the 1920s the wealthy family of my Nana’s fiance had him put in asylum rather than allow him to marry my grandmother. She had kept his picture for her entire life,
She had always remembered the sad scene where he had let her go, and been forced to say goodbye as he knew his mother (who appeared to have been toxic and controlling,) would not let him go. He had loved my grandmother enough to release my grandma . It is a shame his mother had lacked her son’s wisdom.
If You Love Somebody Set Them Free – Morgan James
It was a sadness my grandmother carried with her. My nan had kept his photo for her entire life. The photo I have of him says “from your loving son.” (My grandfather had needed to really fight to gain my grandmother’s affections.)
Perhaps he had reclaimed the photo from his mother.
Who would blame him if the situation was how my grandmother had described it?
He had perhaps completely lost any feelings of love he had for his mother, if her actions had been as evil as my grandmother had recounted.
If you truly love your child you do not come between them and the person they love as they will probably never forgive you.
Jesus told us it was easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to go to heaven.
