I had been so concerned about my ex husband one day after our split, I had gone next door to ask for help. My neighbour had counselled me to see how he was after a walk. At our last family photos, I had observed him opening and closing his fingers continually. I believe he was barely managing to contain his anger at having lost control of us! I volunteered briefly for the student helpline when I was at college. We hadn’t received any calls back then. I really felt for the students during lockdown. Yet my daughter managed to emerge from lockdown with a boyfriend. Her and her group of friends had a games night every week. I really enjoyed it. Lots of fun and laughter. I have never felt so close to her friends. She and her friends were always considerate.(We lived in a studio apartment.)

Consider Yourself/Oliver by Servant Stage My daughter’s boyfriend was smart. He invited her for coffee. Maybe one day I will get to introduce him to the Irish variety. I seriously hope they are wrong for his sake about daughters turning out like their mothers.
